SUNY Downstate  Asylum Clinic

Founded in 2019, we are a student-run asylum clinic that works with licensed health professionals to provide political asylum seekers pro bono medical and psychiatric evaluations to document evidence of physical or mental trauma due to past human rights abuses in their home country.  The evaluations form a crucial and often determining role in immigration court.
